Privacy notice
This is a working draft for the closed beta. It describes how RiderSign handles information today and will be replaced by a reviewed notice before RiderSign opens more widely.
What we collect
- Your name, work email, firm and title, which you give us when you sign up.
- Deal information your team adds: project names, teaser details, riders, the company name, teasers, CIMs and data room links.
- A record of what happens on each deal: views, downloads, rounds, signatures, passes and payments, with the time, IP address and browser.
- If billing is on, your card is held by Stripe. We keep only the card brand, last four digits and receipts.
How we use it
- To run the deals you take part in, send the emails they need, and keep the audit log both sides rely on.
- Investors never see a company's name, CIM or data room link before their NDA is signed by both sides.
- We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who helps us
Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Postmark (email), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (reading teasers and drafting invitations when you ask) and Sentry (error reports, with names, emails and deal details removed). Data is stored in the United States.
How long we keep it
Signing records and audit logs are kept for 7 years after a deal is archived or closed: executed NDAs, every rider version, each signature (name, title, firm, email, time, IP address and device) and the log of views, downloads and steps. Both sides and the law may need them if an NDA is ever disputed. A deal's teaser, CIM and unsent drafts are deleted one year after it is archived. Invoices are kept for tax records.
